Aalborg Adventures Episode 5: Week of Wonders

March 5, 2018 Hello! It's great to hear how you all are doing!! Danish Word of the Week: Sne.  It means snow. Danish Fun Fact: People wear scarves so big that they could be blankets.  There are more than needed. This week was absolutely and utterly INSANE but also AMAZING.  We went to a lighthouse on Monday called Rubjerg Knude.  It's at the very top of Denmark and is stunning.  It was also freezing and according to my handy dandy fit bit, we walked 9 miles total that day.  Incredible.  My feet felt it. On Tuesday we had the Esbjerg sisters up for splits! Søster Peterson and I took our free bus tickets and sat ourselves down for about 2 hours, talking to everyone that sat next to us.  We were quite lucky to be on a bus because Tuesday ended up being the coldest day in the history of the world.  The snow was dumping and the wind was howling.  We tried to knock a neighborhood, but no one would talk to us because it was too cold f...

February 26, 2018 Hello Hello!! I am so excited to get emails from you all every week!! Thanks for keeping me update on your lives and sending me pictures. I really appreciate it. Danish Word of the Week: Fantastisk. 'Nuff said. Danish Fun Fact:  It's the coldest week of the year here! And boy can I feel it. I don't have a whole ton of time so this will be a little short, but this week was great!!  We had the wonderful Viborg sisters on splits! I was with my MTC buddy Sister Smith and we had a fabulous time.  We worked way hard and talked with so many amazing people.  There was one girl in particular that we contacted on a bench.  She was sitting by herself and looked deep in thought.  We asked her what she thought her purpose in life was and she, with tears brimming her eyes, said that she'd been trying to figure that out for some time.  We started talking to her about her loving Father in Heaven and how He wants to help us thr...
