June 18, 2018 HALLOOOOO!! Danish Word of the Week: Gaffel, which means fork.   Danish Fun Fact:  The sun rises at  4:25am  and sets at  9:57pm.  I never see darkness and it is wonderful.   So let me tell you a little about my new area.  I serve in a city called Lyngby (pronounced  Loo - as is the British way of saying toilet-  ng  - that last sound in ''ring'' -  boo  - what a ghost says. Loo-ng-boo). I love Lyngby.  It's in Greater Copenhagen and let me tell you: the language I spoke in Jylland is not the Danish they speak in Copenhagen.  So that has been fun getting used to.  And due to some lack of apartment craziness it's just us sisters in our ward.  The ward building is used by 2 wards and the other ward lost their missionary apartments so the elders in our ward switched to the other ward.  So we run the entire party here in the Gladsaxe 2 ward. It is a great area....

June 11, 2018 How are you?? It has been great to hear all of the funess and craziness that has happened in your lives! Thanks for the updates, I really really appreciate them. Danish Word of the Week: DÅB - baptism Danish Fun Fact: One can get all the way from the upmost part of Denmark down across the country to Copenhagen  in 5 hours .  More on that later.   THIS WEEK WAS INCREDIBLE.  Our week was absolutely filled to the brim with appointments.  On Monday we met with Olav and talked more about his baptism.  That man is so ready.  On Tuesday we ate lunch with a recently returned missionary from Aalborg named Anna.  She served in London and is literally the cutest.  Out of the goodness of her heart she invited all 8 missionaries (Frederikshavn included) over to eat. It was so hyggeligt.  We met with Olav again on Wednesday just to review some things and talk about the blessings of baptism.  We also had a fant...

June 4, 2018 HELLO HELLO HELLO my dearest and darlingest family! Danish word of the week: Solskin - sunshine!! Danish Fun Fact: Apparently this past week has been the hottest week ever recorded in Denmark.  I haven't seen rain for over a month!  First and foremost, I HAVE BEEN A MISSIONARY FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR!! WOOT WOOT WOOT!!! That means that I'm professional now, right? Ha.  But I have actually been on a mission for 12 whole months.  Time has absolutely FLOWN by.  I still remember coming into the MTC as though it were yesterday.  Hopefully I'm at least slightly a different person now than I was then.  If someone asked me to go on another mission, I'd say ja tak!  But this was quite the week to hit my year mark! We've been meeting with Olav, our investigator in baptism-prep, every other day.  He's been having some concerns so we went over with the Elders to give him a blessing.  Honestly, I think that blessing was mos...

May 31, 2018 Hellooooo! Danish Word of the Week: Fest means a party!!  Danish Fun Fact: Aalborg is called the party city of Denmark for one reason.  Carneval.  We'll get to that.   So the majority of this week was spent on a train.  Søster Matheson and I travelled all around the northern part of Jylland to visit the districts in our zone and give trainings.  Our first destination was Aarhus.  We had to catch an earlier train, so we woke up on time, got ready, biked to the train station and still had 20 minutes to spare.  We saw a big regional train on the platform and after looking at the screen determined that this was our train.  We hopped on the train and the doors closed swiftly behind us.  We turned around to go find a seat and saw that this was not the train to Aarhus, but actually the train to Frederikshavn - going in the exact opposite direction of where we wanted to go.  We pushed the button to try to o...
