Nov 20, 2017 HELLO!! How are you all?? Is it snowing? THANKFULLY it is not snowing here yet, but I can smell it in the air. Danish word of the week: gyngestol.  It means ''rocking chair!'' Danish fun fact: 1 american dollar is more or less equivalent to 7 danish crowns.  So this week was great! And cray.  But such is the same with every week. Transfer day (last monday): We woke up and, after some last minute packing, walked with all of our stuff to the Hammerum train station.  It's only about 20 meters away, so it wasn't a long walk.  We quickly threw the suitcases onto the train and waved goodbye to Søster Jex and Søster Thorpe, our old roommates.  We trained to Aarhus where I said farwell to Søster Dietch as she went up to Aalborg and I went to Copenhagen.  I, fortunately, was not by myself as many many other missionaries were making the same trek from Jylland to Sjælland.  We all hung out until we reached Copenhagen.  It was plan...

Danish Word of the day: hjemmedreng.  it literally means ''home boy'' Danish fun fact: the sun sets a couple minutes earlier everynight until Winter solstice, and then it starts setting a little later until summer solstice. How are you all? I'm doing just dandy here in Denmark!! Things are happening!! SO.  This week absolutely FLEW Søster Dietch and I had the car all to ourselves this week, so we took it out on Tuesday with high hopes in mind.  We set out ready to preach and preach we did.  We set a record high of FIVE investigators!! All in one day!! It was incredible!! We also went up to Aalborg for splits!! I still love Aalborg.  Sister Dietch and I bought matching companionship hats.  They're adorable.  Also I got to play my flute in sacrament meeting! It was swell. On Saturday, I found out that I'm going to have to grow up and leave my baby area.  I moved today (5 hour train ride) and am now in Hillerød, ALL t...

Hello! Danish Word of the Week: Hjemmesko. Det betyder ''Slipper!'' It's literally translates to ''home shoe.'' I like it.  I think it's cute.   Danish Fun Fact: It rains or snows every second day.  Basically, we're always wet.   So this week was good! We did in fact dress up for Halloween! Søster Jex was a cute 20's girl, Søster Thorpe was Sleeping Beauty, Søster Dietch was Kim Possible, and I was Judy Hopps from Zootopia! We dressed up for Institute and it was way fun.  Also, props to us because we put our costumes together in literally 20mins.  Missionaries are blessed with gifts and talents of every kind.  And the next day, actual Halloween, we decided to dress up as missionaries.  I know, I know, genius right? We had two appointments that day with a less active and our investigator on date.  We taught him tithing and I think it went fairly well! I felt the Spirit, and that's a good sign.  With our less acti...

October 30, 2017 HELLLOOOO! Danish word of the day: Fødselsdagsfest. Det betyder ''Birthday Party!!''  Denmark Fun Fact: Danes are ridiculously proud of their flag, Dannebrog.   So I'm going to give y'all a short rundown of this week: Mandag- we went to a deer park! It's called a Dyrehaven and is basically a mini national park.  We only saw a few deer ( a really cool albino one though!) so we spent most of our time prancing around pretending we were deer.  Super fun and super pretty! We had institute that night and our investigator came!! He really participated during the spiritual discussion and the games afterward.  Everyone was so happy, and we honestly just felt like a big happy family.  My heart was smiling.  Family is such a blessing from our Heavenly Father.  He is good.   Tirsdag- Hurricane.  That's the best word I can use to describe Tuesday.  We didn't have very many appointments, so ...

October 23, 2017 Hello Hello Hello!! How are you all? I love you guys a lot.  I hope you know and remember that forever.  Danish word of the day: fortræffelig. Dette ord betyder ''fine, excellent, splendid.'' Det er ikke så normalt, men man kan bruge det hvis de har lyst.   Danish Fun Fact: Demark is the oldest kingdom in the world.  Take that England.   Anyway, this week was supa rad.  We had our investigator on date come to institute! He really wants to be baptized and is working on keeping all of the commandments.  We had a lesson with him right before institute and more or less gently forced him to just stay for institute.  I am sure glad he did! While we were playing games, I couldn't help but feel that we were all one mixed, different, but joyful family.  It felt like home.  He was happy and laughing and seeing him enjoy himself made me happy too.  I love this church because no matter who you are, where...
