Book of Mormon Musical: The Danish Edition

HELLLOOOO!
Danish word of the day: Fødselsdagsfest. Det betyder ''Birthday Party!!''
Denmark Fun Fact: Danes are ridiculously proud of their flag, Dannebrog.
So I'm going to give y'all a short rundown of this week:
Mandag- we went to a deer park! It's called a Dyrehaven and is basically a mini national park. We only saw a few deer ( a really cool albino one though!) so we spent most of our time prancing around pretending we were deer. Super fun and super pretty! We had institute that night and our investigator came!! He really participated during the spiritual discussion and the games afterward. Everyone was so happy, and we honestly just felt like a big happy family. My heart was smiling. Family is such a blessing from our Heavenly Father. He is good.
Tirsdag- Hurricane. That's the best word I can use to describe Tuesday. We didn't have very many appointments, so we spent ALL DAY finding. And Mother Nature must have some sick sense of humor, because the rain was pouring harder than I have ever seen it before. We were unfortunately on bikes all day and were sufficiently soaked within 10 min of being outside. It rained and rained and we biked and biked and no one wanted to talk to us. However, for some strange reason we were still happy. We were quite literally singing in the rain. The Lord's work is a good one.
Onsdag- consisted of biking and knocking and knocking and biking. We had a great lesson on repentance with an investigator squeezed in there, but the rest of the day was spent on bikes. I can tell you that I have never felt more Danish than when I'm biking in my black nylons and a pencil skirt. All I need is a pair of heels and you could call me Danish Dorthe. Again, my attitude was up and the work was happy. Heavenly Father gives us the courage and the stamina we need. He is good.
Torsdag- We were out finding in a nearby city called Ikast, when something changed. We felt gently nudged to knocked on this unsupposing yellow house. We knocked, and no answer. We said ''Oh well!'' and skipped down the stairs singing Come Thou Font when we turned to our left and low and behold stood the owner to the house standing in the driveway, staring at us. We laughed it off and went up to chat with him. Didn't even get a full sentence in when he said that he'd met with missionaries before and invited us in for tea. We declined the tea and offered a return appointment instead. Finding a new investigator by singing and being happy is a little out of the ordinary, but God works in mysterious ways. Mysterious, but good.
Fredag- We went up to Silkeborg!! I love Silkeborg! It's probably my favorite city in all the world. We went up to teach less active and eat with a member. While we were finishing up helping her in her garden, the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen in my whole life appeared in the sky. I wish I had gotten a picture, but all I could do was stare and awe over the beauty of the earth. Again, God is good. He has given us such a wonderful world to live in.
Lørdag- We played soccer in the nipping and howling wind and the sheeting rain. I was so so so cold. I was so cold that one of the Elders gave me his huge winter coat, so I ran around the field like a huge black marshmellow but alas, I was warm. We also had an appointment with the man we found on Thursday! Way interesting guy. He was super touched that we brought a Book of Mormon for him. Updates to come on him. I am so grateful that Heavenly Father places these different but way interesting people in our paths. I love getting to know His children and being touched by their divine souls. God is good.
Søndag- We had 2 investigators in church!! Our two most progressing investigators both came!! I have never in my whole life felt the kind of happiness that I felt when I saw them both walk up the path to the church building. It was quite amazing. God hears and answers prayers. God is good.
Well I don't know if you caught on to the pattern or not, but this week I saw the good hand of God weaving in and out of little miracles He poured out upon us. I read a verse in Mosiah 4 that I think really fits well with my attitude this week. ''11. And again I say unto you as I have said before, that as ye have come to the knowledge of the glory of God, or if ye have known of his goodness and have tasted of his love, and have received a remission of your sins, which causeth such exceedingly great joy in your souls, even so I would that ye should remember, and always retain in remembrance, the greatness of God, and your own nothingness, and his goodness and long-suffering towards you, unworthy creatures, and humble yourselves even in the depths of humility, calling on the name of the Lord daily, and standing steadfastly in the faith of that which is to come, which was spoken by the mouth of the angel.'' We should always remember the Goodness of our dear Heavenly Father. He looks down on each and every one of us and is mindful of our wants and needs.
Jeg elsker jer så meget og er dybt taknemlig for jer. Tak for jeres bønner og jeres kærlighed. Forsæt hav en god uge!
