Hello Hello Hello!! How are you all? I love you guys a lot. I hope you know and remember that forever.
Danish word of the day: fortræffelig. Dette ord betyder ''fine, excellent, splendid.'' Det er ikke så normalt, men man kan bruge det hvis de har lyst.
Danish Fun Fact: Demark is the oldest kingdom in the world. Take that England.
Anyway, this week was supa rad. We had our investigator on date come to institute! He really wants to be baptized and is working on keeping all of the commandments. We had a lesson with him right before institute and more or less gently forced him to just stay for institute. I am sure glad he did! While we were playing games, I couldn't help but feel that we were all one mixed, different, but joyful family. It felt like home. He was happy and laughing and seeing him enjoy himself made me happy too. I love this church because no matter who you are, where you come from, your age, your gender, your looks, or your potential, we all belong. Every. Single. One. Of. Us. This church, this gospel, this faith, is home.
We also had splits this week! The Aalborg sisters came down to Hammerum and 4 turned to 6. We had 6 girls in our tiny apartment for 24 hours. It was crazy, but it was fun. Super fun. I was with the wonderful Søster Player and we had a good time prancing around Hammerum. We taught a FANTASTIC lesson to our Chinese investigator. We taught her about the Holy Ghost and it blew her mind. She gasped and said, ''WAIT. There is a third??'' We laughed and explained it's role and afterward committed her to pray to Heavenly Father and ask if He could bless her with the Spirit. We found out later this week that she did pray, and she felt it. She felt it pounding her heart in a way she has never felt before. She is amazing, and progressing so fast. We love her so so much. While still on splits, we ran into one of her Chinese friends who agreed to meet with us too! Who would have thought that by going to Denmark, I'd actually be teaching people definitely not from Denmark? I sure didn't, but I am sure glad I am.
You know what though? Some days are not so great. Some days just straight up stink. I had one of those days this week. Nothing was specifically wrong, but both Søster Dietch and I felt down. I felt like I was thinking and moving through molasses. We had some pretty awkward encounters with investigators and people we contacted, and that kind of threwus off for the rest of the day. However, it is important to keep in mind a little piece of advice from dear Anne Shirley, which is ''tomorrow is a new day with no mistakes in it.'' And how true that statement is. We woke up the next morning revived and ready to go! We went out contacting and just starting singing while walking. It really lifted our spirits. My testimony of the power of music is a strong one. Music can fix so many problems. Whoever is reading this right now, I invite you to go listen to an uplifting song RIGHT NOW. It will help you in some way that I'm sure you don't know you need. I guarantee it.
Anyway, that was basically our week in a mushroom shell. Good and bad times occured, but I have perservered with a steadfastness in happiness. I have honestly never been happier. I'm happy going out to talk to people, I am happy when I study. I am happy just living. One specific scripture I found really lifted my spirits. 1 Nephi 16:29says, '' And thus we see that by small means the Lord can bring about great things.'' It feels like it's talking about me! I'm small! And through me, He can bring about great things. The same goes for you! Remember that anytime you are feeling low, downtrodden, sad, or small, the Lord will use you to bring about wonderous works.
Jeg elsker jer rigtig meget og jeg håber at I kan få en gode uge! Hej hej!
