May 21, 2018 Danish Word of the Week: Kristi Himmelfartsdag.  It means The Ascension of Christ in Danish, but in Danglish it means ''The Day of Christ's Heavenly Fart.''  Danish Fun Fact: Wildflowers in Denmark as are common as Mormons in Utah. So Faith is like a little bug.  It you put it in your soup, it multiplies and replenishes.  Søster Matheson and I decided to get fancy and make some yummy ramen vegetable asian soup.  We sat down to eat and it tasted great.  After a few minutes I noticed that Søster Matheson was veeeeery carefully analyzing her bowl.  I asked her what was up, and she said to give her a couple minutes so that she could be sure.  I started panicking a little bit because I was in charge of the vegetables for that dish.  I thought that maybe she found one of my hairs, or that the carrots had the disease of death (they were already pretty risky when I put them in).  She sat there for a minute and said, ''I believ...

May 14, 2018 Danish word of the Week: Mor means Mom <3 Danish Fun Fact: If the sun is out, the shirts are off. First of all HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO THE BEST WOMAN IN THE WHOLE WORLD! Mom, you are the biggest example to me of everything I aspire to be.  You are so selfless, active, loving, and compassionate.  Thank you mom for being my mom <3 Speaking of mothers, we found one on Monday named Lucy.  She is a cute Chinese woman, probably in her mid 40's. She let us right in and we talked about God and how we can communicate with him.  She agreed to pray and we said that we'd come back the next day.  The next day brought Zone Conference! The entire conference was on following the Spirit and Personal Revelation, fashioned after President Nelson's talk Revelation for the Church, Revelation for our lives.  I learned so so many great things from it.  Søster Matheson, and an Elder in my ward, and I played a musical number! I was so happy to ge...

May 7, 2018 Hello, hello! Danish Word of the Week: entreprenør. It means construction :) Danish Fun Fact: Denmark sells a wonderful type of Fanta called Fanta Exotic.  Not found in the states, so so sorry.  I do love it.  So this week was definitely a little different.  We spent the majority of it NOT in Aalborg.  On Wednesday, Søster Matheson and I woke up at the crack of dawn to catch the earliest train out of Aalborg down to Slagelse.  We picked up some missionaries along the way and had a jolly old time.  We all met up with our mission president to talk about what kinds of things the mission is doing well, needs help on, etc.  We ended the meeting with a very European outdoor lunch of the most wonderful burgers.  Instead of hoping back on a train to Aalborg, I said farewell to my dearest companion and made my way to Copenhagen.  A new law was just passed in Denmark, and in order for us to stay in Denmark as religious ...

April 30, 2018 Halløj min kær familie! How are you all? Danish Word of the Week: uidentificeret flyvende objekt. UFO.  Danish Fun Fact: Danish people drink something called Saft.  It's concentrated fruit that one dilutes with water.  Looks like Kool-Aid but tastes like heaven.   Well this week was awesome! We had an incredible lesson with our new investigator named Jennifer.  She is from Madrid but has been in Denmark for a few weeks and speaks Danish pretty well.  We found her last week sitting on a park bench.  We started talking to her and found out that she had just broken up with her boyfriend and wasn't sure if God really was aware of her.  She even started crying.  We showed a great Book of Mormon verse to her and could see that it touched her.  We met with her this past Tuesday and it was awesome.  This transfer, it has been really difficult to meet with people.  None of the new investigators we'v...
