Danish word of the Week: Mor means Mom <3

Danish Fun Fact: If the sun is out, the shirts are off.

First of all HAPPY MOTHERS DAY TO THE BEST WOMAN IN THE WHOLE WORLD! Mom, you are the biggest example to me of everything I aspire to be.  You are so selfless, active, loving, and compassionate.  Thank you mom for being my mom <3

Speaking of mothers, we found one on Monday named Lucy.  She is a cute Chinese woman, probably in her mid 40's. She let us right in and we talked about God and how we can communicate with him.  She agreed to pray and we said that we'd come back the next day.  The next day brought Zone Conference! The entire conference was on following the Spirit and Personal Revelation, fashioned after President Nelson's talk Revelation for the Church, Revelation for our lives.  I learned so so many great things from it.  Søster Matheson, and an Elder in my ward, and I played a musical number! I was so happy to get to play the flute again :) We went straight back to Lucy's apartment upon our return home. We gave her a Chinese Book of Mormon and she gave us a loaf of bread.  This is a great giving relationship we have with her.

There is a super adorable elderly woman who lives across the street from us.  For the past few weeks we've been coming over to take out her trash for her.  She is the sweetest thing and we call her ''mormor,'' which means grandma.  We went over on Wednesday and she chatted with us for a few minutes.  She is so cute.  We then left to catch the bus up to visit one of our recent converts and saw that we had 6 minutes before it came, so we stopped a woman to talk.  One Book of Mormon and 2 missed buses later, this woman agreed to meet again! It's great to see the little miracles that God grants us.  I'd also call that day great because I believe that I can successfully say that I may be the only person in all of Denmark to have gotten a sunburn.  Nothing bad, but my red arms can testify to the sun.

I also realized this week that I love biking, which is super helpful when you have days like Thursday filled entirely with biking.  We biked to a completely other city to help a family in our ward clean up and spruce up their summer house.  We pulled weeds and threw worms at each other.  And after that, we biked to another family in our ward for lunch.  They're all great people and the biking was well worth the sacrifice.  Later that day Søster Matheson and I decided to knock a very rich looking apartment building and called them, in faith, the Zoramites.  We didn't find much success except one man that said he was interested but his elderly mother closed the door before we could say anything.  We left a card in his shoe :)

So for the past while,  Søster Matheson and I have been exercising at an outdoor exercise park.  They have workout machines that anyone can use just sitting on the grass.  When we went over there earlier this week we found that this little park was surrounded by yellow and red wooden train cars.  Upon further investigation we learned that the Circus is in town!! We were exercising right next to the circus!! I thought that was pretty cool.

So Lucy.  We met with her again on Saturday and she agreed to come to church! We biked with her to church and she seemed to really enjoy it! Our friend Olav from the Pharoe Islands also came, so that was a miracle to have 2 investigators in church.  God really does bless us in so many different ways.  Another miracle was one we saw TODAY.  We had a lesson with our dear Jennifer from Spain.  She said that she has read Alma 7 three times since we last met with her.  We talked about faith, repentance, and baptism with her and she agreed to be baptized! She has a super strong faith in God and in Christ and wants to follow them.  Like I said, God has not ceased performing miracles.

It was so fun to talk to my family! I do love them to pieces.  They are the best support and source of love I could ever ask for :)

Tak for alt og ha' en god uge!
