July 9, 2018 Danish Word of the Week: Philippinerne. The Philippines! Danish Fun Fact: There are a lot of Filipino people that live here to be nannies.  I thought that was pretty cool.   We had an awesome week.  On Monday we didn't have time to eat dinner so we prayed for some way to obtain food.  A miracle happened and a member fed us pizza.  God delivers.   That same day we met with two of our wonderful Iranian friends, Koosha and his wife Niloufar.  We taught them about the Restoration and they are excited to read the Book of Mormon and learn more.  Cool cool people.   The 4th of July was great! We had the opportunity to switch our pdays and spend half the day on the beach with other missionaries.  We had a lovely time and I only got a little sunburned.  We then went to a member's house to continue the American Festivities.  I do love my country.   We also got a new mission pre...

July 2, 2018 Danish word of the week: Fornøjelse.  It means pleasure.  Sister Thorpe and I have been saying it all week trying to act sophisticated in our Danish hahah.   Danish Fun Fact: Denmark lost to Croatia in the world cup.  The entire country is crying.  Well this was a wonderful week! Monday was Sister Thorpe's birthday so we went down to Copenhagen and experienced the scene down there.  We ate cake, muffins, ham sandwiches, and lemon hyldeblomst danskvand. It was a fornøjelse.  That night we went over to Rødovre for splits! I got to be with Sister Peterson from my good ol' stomping grounds of Timpview High.  It was super fun to work with her and reminisce about our pre mission lives. We had a good time.  Quite the fornøjelse.   We also had a good lesson with our friend Simon.  We talked about living our faith from day to day and incorporating the plan of salvation into our daily lives.  He's a ...

June 25, 2018 First of all, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE BEST COMPANION NOGENSINDE!!! SISTER THORPE I LOVE YOU!!  Let me tell you a little bit about Lyngby real quick.  It's in greater Copenhagen.  We have a great ward and it's fun to see so many missionaries so often.  We usually go down to the city on pdays, and it's super fun.   This week was a good one.  We met with Kim, our friend on baptismal date, and taught him the beginning of the Plan of Salvation.  We also taught him how important it is to pray.  He is well on the path to baptism.  We went by later in the week and taught him the Word of Wisdom, which he was surprisingly open to.  He doesn't even drink so that makes things a LOT easier.  He is so sweet and always so happy.  I love being around him.   We've also visited a few less actives and recent converts, in particular Eva, Savanna, and Lene.  Eva is a super sweet lady that lives all by ...
