First of all, HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO THE BEST COMPANION NOGENSINDE!!! SISTER THORPE I LOVE YOU!!
Let me tell you a little bit about Lyngby real quick. It's in greater Copenhagen. We have a great ward and it's fun to see so many missionaries so often. We usually go down to the city on pdays, and it's super fun.
This week was a good one. We met with Kim, our friend on baptismal date, and taught him the beginning of the Plan of Salvation. We also taught him how important it is to pray. He is well on the path to baptism. We went by later in the week and taught him the Word of Wisdom, which he was surprisingly open to. He doesn't even drink so that makes things a LOT easier. He is so sweet and always so happy. I love being around him.
We've also visited a few less actives and recent converts, in particular Eva, Savanna, and Lene. Eva is a super sweet lady that lives all by herself and we go over to read the Book of Mormon with her. She gave us icecream :) Savanna is one of my favorite humans. We had a really good talk about how our lives are different because of the Gospel. I do love her. And Lene. I love her too. We talked about how we are still following the Savior even though our lives can sometimes be hard. She is such an adorable woman and I love going over there.
Another fun event of the week is that we met a super super cool guy named Simon. We knocked into him and it honestly wasn't the best contact but for some divine reason he was interested in coming to church and reading the Book of Mormon. I was a bit shocked because, again, not my best work. But we met with him a few days later and he is super cool. He really wants to believe in God and build a relationship with him. He is also one of the most positive people that I have ever met. He was sick with a cold but still met with us! We need more people like Simon in the world.
ZONE CONFERENCE. We had an absolutely wonderful zone conference. It was our last one with President and Sister O'Bryant. Boy am I going to miss them. They have been life changing examples to me in my life and I am so grateful for their service and their sacrifice. Sister Matheson and I wrote a song for them before I transferred and they performed it at the Nord Jylland zone conference. I still got a shoutout at my zone conference though, so that was nice :)
Miracle of the week: Kim was on his way to church. He missed his bus, gave up, and went home. He said he would try again next week. We were super sad because we had really looked forward to him coming. But we headed to church nonetheless. We are about to walk in the church doors when one of our less actives and her two kids showed up! Not only that, but a different less active and his two kids. And the miracles don't stop there, because a part member family surprised us by showing up too! God is good folks. That same day we had an eating appointment with some members and just as we were leaving my bike broke. These are stellar members and they fixed it up for me in no time. I love Denmark and I love its people even more.
This week I had a good study about humility and meekness. One way that I thought of to improve those characteristics in myself is actually through forgivness. Sometimes I'm too hard on others around me as well as myself. The Lord says, ''For, if ye forgive men their trespasses your heavenly Father will also forgive you.'' That includes everybody, even yourself. Sometimes I'm too hard on myself and I forget that God knows that I'm not perfect. He has already compensated for my imperfections and He is pleased as long as I am just trying.
Jeg holder super meget af jer. Tak for alt det I gør for mig! Ha' en super dejlig uge!
