Despacito Denmark, Despacito
Well HALLØJ!!
Today is the start of my second transfer in Denmark!! I'm staying here in Hammerum with Søster Acosta which is very very very good. I feel like I just barely got settled and having to move would have been way too insane for me. I'm totes fine here. Especially since we had a pretty fabulous week this past week! We met with a new investigator this week! He is this cute man in maybe his late 50's and was sooo excited to have us over! He wants to learn about other religions and build his faith in Christ. I could REALLY feel God's love for him in that lesson. He took a few seconds at the end of our lesson to tell us how much he appreciated that we came over and how much it meant to him. It just makes my heart happy to meet such kind people.
To add another 2 people onto my ''Kindest People I've Probably Ever Met'' list, we did some service for a couple in our ward who also happen to be the most humble people I have ever met. We painted a room and their deck for them. My nametag got pretty spattered with paint (see picture), so it look like outer space a bit. I'm not complaining. And just last night they invited us over AGAIN to make Flæskesteg as a parting dinner for one of the elders in my area. Apparently that is a very popular Christmas dish, so I'll be eating a lot of it in just a few months. Again, not complaining.
This week Søster Acosta and I attended a ''Kvinde Klub'' (women club) meeting and it was sooo cool! We met tons of different ladies from Singapore, Serbia, Bosnia, and tons of other countries. Basically we all just sat around a long table and chatted. It was really cool to get to know some really awesome women and experience different cultures (the room was probably 95% muslim). The best part was that I could understand EVERYTHING!! Even though it was all in Danish! I was pretty pleased about that.
The 4th person I'd like to add to my list is another new investigator we met with this week. She is from Vietnam and is just about 4'5''. She was kind enough to feed us lunch, and we had a real nice discussion on Christ and when we came to the America's. We ended the lesson and were just about to leave when she said, ''No!! Don't leave yet!! I have pizza for you!'' So we sat ourselves back down while she brought out not only pizza, but a pair of pants for each of us. She is so so so sweet.
All of these really amazing people I have met this week have really inspired me to be a better person. Someone more like Christ. Christ was the perfect example of a perfect human and it's really important to always keep him on the front of your mind. My suggestion this week is to find a scripture that really comforts you. Mine is D&C 6:34, ''Therefore, fear not, little flock; do good; let earth and hell combine against you, for if ye are built upon my rock, they cannot prevail.''
Jeg elsker jer og har en fantastisk uge!
