When in Doubt Flute it Out

Danish Word of the Week: Gifte.  It means ''married'' or ''posion.'' You can interpret that as you will

Danish Fun Fact: The grass is always greener in Denmark.  Quite literally.  It's almost February and I have yet to see a brown field.

This week was one filled of wonder and joy found in small places.  We worked so so so so sooo hard this week.  We really fined tuned our finding skills to be more creative, happier, and convincing.  Although the transfer only has one week left, we are going to go hard.  We are going to knock every single house in the city of Hillerød, talk to every person and every dog if we have to.  After transferly interviews with President on Tuesday, we drove up to a city called Helsinge to knock until our fingers bled.  God noticed our diligence and blessed us by letting us give a book to a cool young girl and a nice old guy named.  They both said that we were welcome to come back.  Later that day, we had an awesome eating appointment with the members we live with. They told us to invite everyone we could, and Lasse (our new convert), Oleg (a less active we work with), and Christian (an investigator from Africa) showed up! It was mega hyggeligt.  We ate a mountain of frikadeller (danish meatballs) which made my stomach big and blithe. That night we drove down to Rødovre, a city near Copenhagen, for splits with our dear STL's Søster Holbrook and my old MTC companion Søster Funk! It was way fun.  We met some cool people and saw a cool tree (pics included).  All in all, it was a great time.  The highlight of my week and most definitely the highlight of the transfer happened that night.  On our way home from Rødovre, we stopped by the Copenhagen temple to do Baptisms for the Dead with Lasse!! It was his very first time, and he loved it.  The Spirit was so strong, and it filled my heart with undescribable joy to see Lasse baptized in behalf of so many people.  He thought it was awesome and wants to come back as soon as possible.  It was a beautiful experience that I want to remember for the rest of my life.

Another fun thing I got to do this week was play my flute! There is a less active in our ward that plays the flute, so we organized a musical number for me, her, and another flute playing member.  We will perform it next Sunday, but it was fun and uplifting to practice it with her a little bit.  I could see the spark of the gospel light up in her eyes as we ran through Come Thou Fount, one of my favorites.  I also spontaneously accompianed the choir in sacrament meeting yesterday! I love every single opportunity I've had to tickle those keys.  They mean the world to me.

My little åndelig tanke (spiritual thought for those of you that don't speak Danish) was actually given to me by one of our investigators.  In Alma 37, Alma writes a letter to his son Helaman.  In verse 37 he says, ''Counsel with the Lord in all thy doings, and he will direct thee for good; yea, when thou liest down at night lie down unto the Lord, that he may watch over you in your sleep; and when thou risest in the morning let thy heart be full of thanks unto God; and if ye do these things, ye shall be lifted up at the last day.'' That was a good reminder to myself to tell Heavenly Father everything that is happening in my life.  He knows, but He wants to hear it from me.  He is mindful of us in every aspect and every moment of our lives.  He wants to help us out in the little things.  They matter to us, so they matter to Him.

Jeg elsker jer alle sammen og håber at I få en god uge! Hej hej!
